Linde Receives 'A' For Water Stewardship from CDP 2021
December 2021 - Linde has been awarded an 'A' from CDP for its approach to tackling water security. It is one of only a select group of global companies to achieve the top score. CDP is a global environmental non-profit organization that works with investors representing over $110 trillion in assets to measure companies' risks and opportunities on climate change, water security and deforestation.
Jones Sustainability World Index (2021)
December 2021 - Linde has once again been recognized as a global leader in sustainability through inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability(TM) World Index (DJSI World) and DJSI North America Index. Linde is the only company in the chemical sector listed as a constituent of the DJSI World Index for nineteen consecutive years.
FTSE4Good Index Series Constituent (2021)
September 2021 - Linde has been included in the FTSE4Good Index for the sixth consecutive year. Created by the global index provider FTSE Russell, the FTSE4Good Index Series is a tool for investors seeking companies that demonstrate strong sustainability practices. Inclusion is based on an independent analysis of environmental, social and governance (ESG) data from over 7,200 securities. Each company is assessed against strict criteria which have also been aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Linde Awarded Best-in-Class for Sustainability Disclosure Practices 2021
May 2021 - Linde has received the best possible rating from ISS Environment QualityScore in sustainability disclosure practices.
ISS QualityScore helps investors monitor the environmental risks in their portfolio companies. It measures the depth and extent of company disclosure relative to their industry group and is designed to indicate the company's understanding and preparedness to address environmental risks.
Linde Recognized as One of the 2021 World's Most Ethical Companies
March 2021 - Linde today announced it has been recognized as one of the 2021 World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute, a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices.
In 2021, 135 companies across 22 countries and 47 industries were recognized in the World's Most Ethical Companies list. Linde is one of only two companies recognized in the Chemicals category.
Linde Recognized by S&P Global in The Sustainability Yearbook (2020 - 2021)
February 2021 - Linde has once again been recognized for its strong sustainability track record and has received a Bronze Medal distinction in The Sustainability Yearbook 2021. Linde was also ranked as one of the leading companies in the global chemicals sector.
Solactive Europe Corporate Social Responsibility Index (2020)
September 2020 – Linde plc has been reconfirmed as a constituent of the Solactive Europe Corporate Social Responsibility Index PR (formerly Ethibel Sustainability Index Excellence Europe). The index assesses aspects comprising human rights, human capital, environmental social impact, market ethics and corporate governance.
MSCI Upgrades Linde's ESG Rating to A
June 2020 - Linde has been upgraded to A in MSCI's ESG Ratings assessment, on a scale of CCC to AAA. The improvement from BBB was mainly attributed to the company's comprehensive decarbonization strategy, including its initiatives to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 35% and double the annual purchase of renewable power by 2028.
100 Best Corporate Citizens of 2020
June 2020 - Linde was named a top 25 company on the 100 Best Corporate Citizens 2020 list, recognizing outstanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) transparency and performance amongst the 1,000 largest U.S. public companies. The 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking is based on 141 transparency and performance factors in eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society and ESG performance.
