Global Giving

Giving back in our communities

In 2021, Linde’s Global Giving Program contributed $9.7 million globally in support of STEM Education, Diversity and Inclusion, Community Support, Environment, Disaster Relief and Health and Wellness initiatives. Thanks to the generosity of our employees through their personal donations of approximately $1 million, the total impact in our local communities reached $10.7 million.

Employee Engagement

Matching Gifts
Through Linde’s Global Giving Program, eligible personal contributions made by full-time U.S. employees and its wholly owned subsidiaries and active outside directors of Linde are matched up to $15,000 per year. The minimum match is $25. Organizations that may qualify for matching gifts include: U.S. colleges and universities, and organizations that are designated as tax exempt by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. Information on matching gifts is available for employees on Airwaves. Matching gifts should be aligned with Linde’s focused areas of giving.

Employee Volunteer Grants
Employees who volunteer time, talent or provide financial support to an eligible non-profit organization are encouraged to submit a grant request to the Linde Global Giving Program for consideration. Grant requests should be aligned with Linde’s focused areas of giving.

The level of support granted is commensurate with employee involvement in the project and how well it fits within program guidelines. Grant applications are reviewed monthly. You will be contacted with the determination of your request even if it is not approved.

Our Global Giving Program is conducted consistent with Linde's Code of Business Integrity and all applicable laws. Working with United Way Worldwide, Linde will continue to ensure that our international gifts meet this standard.
