Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe (2019)
October 2019 – Linde has been reconfirmed as a constituent of the Ethibel Sustainability Index (ESI) Excellence Europe. The ESI indices universe is composed of companies included in the Russell Global Index that display the best performance in the field of Corporate Social Responsibility.
Jones Sustainability World Index (2019)
September 2019 – Linde has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index in its first year as a new company since the merger between Linde AG and Praxair, Inc. was finalized. The DJSI World comprises the top ten percent by sector of the 2,500 largest companies in the S&P Global Broad Market Index. To be listed, the companies must demonstrate continuous improvement in a variety of economic, ecological and social criteria.
FTSE4Good Index Series Constituent (2019)
July 2019 - Linde plc remains a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series following the June 2019 index review. According to the FTSE4Good website, the FTSE4Good Index Series is designed to measure the performance of companies demonstrating strong Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) practices. The FTSE4Good indices are used by a wide variety of market participants to create and assess responsible investment funds and other products.
DiversityInc List of Noteworthy Companies for Diversity (2016-2019)
June 2019 - Linde announced today that its subsidiary Praxair, Inc. has been named DiversityInc Noteworthy Company for the fourth consecutive year. Noteworthy companies are selected based on a survey covering four key areas of diversity management: talent pipeline, talent development, manager responsibility and supplier diversity.
RobecoSAM Annual Corporate Sustainability Yearbook (2019)
April 2019 – Linde has been awarded a Silver Class distinction in SAM's Sustainability Yearbook 2019. The company was one of six in the chemical sector recognized with a distinction and the only Silver Class medalist.
The Sustainability Yearbook is launched by SAM, the unit of RobecoSAM which specializes in providing ESG data, ratings, and benchmarking, and is the world's most comprehensive publication on corporate sustainability. Results are based on the 2018 Corporate Sustainability Assessment, which assessed more than 2,500 companies across 60 industries, awarding recognition to 458 organizations from 36 countries.
