Jeri Goede
What is your name? In which area and for how long have you been working for Linde/BOC?
My name is Jeri Goede. I joined BOC in 2001, after graduating with a degree in engineering. My current position is Account Manager, covering BOC’s North/Central New Jersey and New York City, US, reporting to the Norristown PA office. On a daily basis, I am either on the road meeting with existing and potential customers, or working from my home office in New Jersey.
What are your main job responsibilities?
Within my territory, I am responsible for managing existing customers, signing up new business, and increasing profitability.
What is the most exciting thing about your role?
The exposure to so many different industries and aspects of business. Within a single day, I can visit food processing, chemical and metal heat treating facilities, and work with individuals in procurement, operations and quality departments.
Why did you decide to join Linde/BOC?
The people I met from BOC were excited about their work and genuinely interested in how I would fit in and succeed. This attitude and culture was unique. It made me very comfortable and happy about the decision to join the company.
What do you like about Linde/BOC?
I enjoy the opportunities and benefits of a large organization, although the work environment on a daily basis is much smaller and intimate.
Where do you see your career going?
So far I have already worked on the development of new food freezing technologies, been a member of the project team that implemented a SAP system across North America, worked in Operations, held a regional customer engineering (LTS) role, and now as an Account Manager. I can only imagine the opportunities that lie ahead… |
