What is your name? In which area and for how long have you been working for Linde/BOC?
My name is Andras Gazdag and I’ve worked for Linde Gas Hungary Co. Ltd. since August 2004. I’m a Human Resources Generalist on the Répcelak site, which is the Hungarian headquarters of Linde Gas.
What are your main job responsibilities?
I am responsible for the development of labour and welfare plans and I manage personnel tasks such as appointments, assignments, employee-transfers, contracting and job advertisements. I’m also in charge of personnel- and salary cost planning and last but not least, international HR projects and English language training belong to my responsibilities.
What is the most exciting thing about your role?
It’s very interesting to see how the company is organised from the inside, and even more interesting to be a part of its support. Linde requires perfection in HR work to help to sustain its leading market position in Hungary. This provides the ongoing challenge in my daily work. In this position it is also important for me to have direct contact with employees.
Why did you decide to join Linde/BOC?
After finishing my studies, my first aim was to find a workplace where high performance was the benchmark for continuous career improvement. From an employee’s point of view it’s also important that high-level achievements are always appreciated. Regarding expertise, here I find well-qualified colleagues in every position, and I’m very proud that I belong to this team.
What do you like about Linde/BOC?
In Hungary, Linde is the market leader of gas business with a market share of more than 60 percent. In my opinion, being an employee of such a well-known and international company is a challenge for all of us. Thanks to our regional network, the close cooperation with colleagues from other countries is very fruitful in sharing experiences. Company culture and working atmosphere are very attractive while working conditions are also beneficial. Linde is a place where I feel at home.
Where do you see your career going?
I believe that I’m in the best place concerning my professional development. I have found a company where all the conditions are perfect and I have the chance for making constant career progression. We all have opportunities to step up – promotion is open to every colleague. After some more on-the-job experience I’ll be looking for getting new challenges within Linde. |
