The workforce was considerably reduced in 2004 as a result of the divestment of our Refrigeration segment. At the date of its sale to the Carrier Group on October 1, 2004, it had 6,242 people (excluding Linde Ladenbau) in its employ. The personnel indicators are based on some 96 percent of the staff employed in the Linde Group.
